Please help change the laws in America to make it illegal for big utility companies to turn off the power, gas, water or other essential services when senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and even war veterans are experiencing hardship.  Ask your legislatures to pass new laws that prohibit turning off utilities; rather, maintain services, give credit, charge interest, but DO NOT disconnect or discontinue service.

People die when big utility companies and municipalities just turn off the power, water, gas, or other essential services when senior citizens, people with disabilities, and even war veterans are experiencing hardship.  And those who die, be it by freezing to death or heat stroke, usually die unseen after suffering hurt, harm, and other distress.  Why?  because the big utility companies and municipalities are operating under an ethic that money is more sacred that life.
